Young Dairy Network One of the joys of working in this great industry of ours has been to witness the development and growth of such a positive group of like-minded young people, who are the industry’s future. Not just leaders, but active participants in an industry which traditionally has had trouble attracting new people. Having been involved in our industry for over 21 years, not only as an employee of Parmalat but also through community groups such as the Young Dairy Network, I have seen my fair share of turmoil, drought and disaster, but one thing remains certain: our people have that devotion and love for the unique livelihood of producing milk and dairy products for the general public.

Younger people have the great ability to adapt to change, and with life in general being so dynamic, with new technology, ideas and challenges, I am heartened to know our young people will always show great adaptability to the changes in the industry that will inevitably come their way. As a processor, Parmalat has an investment in it’s people not only our staff, but also our farmers. It is so gratifying to see young people embrace this industry and for me it is this buzz that keeps me motivated and enthralled with the Australian Dairy Industry.

I for one am looking forward to the future with great anticipation.
