We are proud to announce that Bentleys is once again the sole sponsor of the YDN tour for 2012 and on behalf of the YDN we would like to thank Brendon and the team at Bentleys for their ongoing support of the network.
The Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) through the New Gen Fund will also be supporting the tour. The funding has been provided by the project “Mooving Forward” which aims to explore the stages of the business cycle and in particular succession planning.

Farm Visit - George Rigney Dairy Farm at Cressy (George owns and operates the family business, Newham Park Dairy’s which milks 1000 cows) |

Farm Visit - Rodney Butler Dairy Farm (Butler Pastoral, Ridgley) (Rodney is the third generation on the dairy milking 250 cows and growing potatoes) |

Breakfast at Stanley Seaview Inn and depart for Smithton Farm Visit to VDL Heifer Rearing Facility (The Van Diemen’s Land (VDL) company operates 23 dairy farms in the Smithton region plus a 2000 ha heifer rearing facility which grows out 9000 heifers/year)Farm Visit to Leigh & Kellie Schuuring Share Farm (Leigh & Kellie have been sharefarming for 11 years and are currently milking 930 cows in a 50:50 agreement) |
